The initiative for the State of New Hampshire to recognize Jeffersonian principles and States’ rights has encountered a procedural setback. Below is the Committee reading and vote on the resolution.
This vote occured yesterday, February 12th. It is odd to search New Hampshire’s major dailies for February 13 and discover that the story was not covered.
Addendum, February 15, 2009:
Thanks to AxXiomfor Liberty for putting up the Glenn Beck interview with New Hampshire State Rep. Dan Itse, one of the sponsors of HCR 0006. Also included in the post is a message from State Rep. Bob Mead. Rep. Mead clarifies the procedural option of “ITL” that was resorted to by the Democrat dominated Committee in the video above, where ITL was referred to but not explained. ITL is an anacronym for “inexpedient to legislate.” It begs the question: since when are States’ Rights, as identified in the Constitution, ”inexpedient to legislate?”
