Beverly Eckert, R.I.P.

Here’s another one for the coincidence theorists. Beverly Eckert, whose husband was killed on 9/11, was on board Flight 3407 which crashed in Buffalo on February 12. She was the founder of Voices of September 11th, a victims advocacy group.

Relatives of 9/11 victims who accepted settlements forfeited their right to sue the airlines, airports, security companies, or other US organizations that could have been faulted for negligence and inadequate security measures. This ensured that very little detail of the attacks emerged outside of the government appointed 9/11 Commission. Ms. Eckert bravely forfeited the average $1.8 million payout with a statement that will now very likely gain greater notoriety: “My silence cannot be bought.”

From the printed statement from which her quote is taken, she has written:

“I am suing because unlike other investigative avenues… my lawsuit requires all testimony be given under oath and fully uses powers to compel evidence…The victims’ fund was not created in a spirit of compassion.… Lawmakers capped the liability of the airlines at the behest of lobbyists who descended on Washington while the September 11 fires still smoldered.”

It just so happened that Ms. Eckert had met with President Obama days before the crash.

To all those who knew and were touched by this brave woman, condolences are offered. Having the gift of having known her, you can only be strengthened.

New Video of WTC7 Collapse

I suppose that actually seeing the charges go off and still holding to the position that 9/11 was not an inside job is the equivalent of actually seeing bone and brain matter fly backwards from JFK’s forehead (Zapruder) and still hold to the position that there was no shooter on the grassy knoll and that the head shot was an exit wound. And people ask me why I live as a recluse in the boonies of Nova Scotia!
